It was published in The Complete Scarsdale Medical Diet plus Dr. Tarnower’s Lifetime Keep-Slim Program Herman which was written by Tarnower and co-author Samm Sinclair Baker. It is a two week on two week off diet, but there are certain foods you can eat in your two things off. It’s a pretty tough diet, because you will need dedication and power of will to complete it.

How to lose weight fast with the Scarsdale Medical Diet plan?

There is a set of strict rules which must be followed 14 days if you want to have a noticeable weight loss and at the end of these two weeks you can have up to 15 pounds less. Here are the ten rules of losing weight fast:

  • You must eat only the things that you are allowed. Substituents are not permitted.
  • Alcohol is strictly forbidden, especially beer and wine.
  • As a snack, you can eat just carrots and celery. The good part is that you don’t have a limit for these two vegetables.
  • You can drink as much natural coffee, decaf and tea, without sugar and of course water. In fact, it is recommended to be as well hydrated as you can.
  • Don’t use olive oil or mayo in salads, but you can use fresh lemon juice or vinegar.
  • Don’t use any kind of vegetable or animal fat when you cook the vegetables for your diet.
  • All the meat has to be skinless and also cooked without any fats. Chicken and turkey meat are great for this diet.
  • Don’t eat more than recommended and don’t have any leftovers.
  • Don’t eat more than you can!
  • You can’t go on with the diet more than 14 days, even if you feel good after living by this diet for two whole weeks.
